Terms and Conditions for Dorlist

Welcome to Dorlist (the “App”), available at https://www.dorlist.com. By using Dorlist, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”).

1. Who We Are

Dorlist is operated by two sole traders:
- One based in the United Kingdom, and
- One based in Romania.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 to use Dorlist.
  • If under 18, you confirm you have consent from a parent/guardian.

3. Accounts

  • You sign up and log in using your email address (no password).
  • You may provide a display name, which may be a nickname.
  • You may optionally add your date of birth.

You are responsible for ensuring your email address is correct and accessible.

4. Using Dorlist

  • You may create wishlists, add items, and share wishlist links.
  • Visitors may participate anonymously only when coordination is not required.
  • If coordination is required, visitors must register for an account.
  • The list creator (administrator) may set payment instructions and due dates.

5. Payments

  • Dorlist does not process payments and does not hold any funds on behalf of users. All transactions are handled directly between users.
  • For items designated as "shareable," when the target contribution amount is met, Dorlist will send email notifications to facilitate payment.
  • The list administrator (owner) will receive an email notifying them that the goal for an item has been reached.
  • Each participant for that item will also receive an email containing the payment instructions provided by the administrator. If no instructions were provided, the email will advise participants to contact the administrator directly.
  • You agree that Dorlist is not responsible for the accuracy of payment details, the transfer of funds, or any disputes arising from payments between users.

6. User Content

  • You are responsible for all content you upload.
  • You must not post unlawful, misleading, or harmful material.
  • We may remove content that breaches these Terms.

7. Service Availability

Dorlist is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including losses from disputes between users.
- Our liability is capped at £50 or equivalent.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or misuse the service.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Updates will be posted on our Website with a new effective date.

11. Governing Law

- For the UK operator: English law applies, and UK courts have jurisdiction.
- For the Romanian operator: Romanian law applies, and Romanian courts have jurisdiction.
